Philippine Ragnarok Online’s oldest server, Baldur, is currently experiencing several technical problems during siege. To address this issue, the Ragnarok Community Managers have come up with a competitive series of guild tournaments while Gravity is working on the fix. We understand that unlike in the F2P servers, the siege feature is really the number one reason why gamers in the subscription servers continue to play.

Guilds of Baldur server!

As compensation for the bugged sieges of Baldur server that started last month, we are inviting all guilds of Baldur to join the Baldur Guild Tourney which will be held on February 10, 2008 at 4:00 PM! Please read full mechanics below:

BALDUR Guild Tourney

Tournament Schedule: February 10, 2008 (Sunday)
3:30 PM – Call-time for all participants
4:00 PM – Start of Tournament

Eligibility

- open to all pRO Baldur guilds
- minimum guild level is 11.

How to join

1. Guilds must form a roster consisting of 11 members. There will be no level or job restrictions.

2. The guild master will post the name of his guild and the character names of his roster at the RAGNABOARDS (Guilds of Baldur).

3. All members must be in the same guild.

4. First come, First serve. Only the first 16 guilds will be able to join.

Tournament Mechanics

a. Determining matches

~ Matches will be drawn randomly from the 16 registered participants

b. Official tournament rules

~ The match will be held in Baldur. Participants will use their own characters.
~ Team line up and member parameters. Matches will be a 4 way sudden death battle between 4 guilds. Each team will be composed 11 members.
~ WOE rules apply
~ Sudden death match, the last guild standing or guild with the most number of members alive wins! In case of a tie see below.
~ For tie, team with lowest level total wins.
~ Character restrictions
i. No job class restrictions
ii. No base and job level restriction
iii. No skill restrictions
iv. No Item restrictio
~ Matches are all timed at 10 minutes

c. Make certain that your item and equipment set-up is ready

d. Participants must proceed to their assigned check point 30 minutes before their scheduled tournament begins

e. In case of incomplete roster, the team must have at least 7 members present. Teams with less than 7 members present will automatically be disqualified.

f. Once the tournament schedule begins. Guild masters must invite their assigned vanguard within their guild and party once all the members are accounted for.

g. Start of will be signaled by marshaling Vanguards. Players may start casting buffs during the count down. Use of other skills, on the other hand, is restricted until the marshals give their go signal. Offending players will be given a warning; then on the second offense, penalty will be disqualification from the tournament. The same rule holds for those who attack a tournament marshal.

h. Lag will not stop the clock Disconnection will not stop the clock. Once a game has already started, disconnection of players from the servers, regardless of their number, will not stop the match. If a whole team is abnormally logged off while a game is ongoing, the team forfeits the match. It is the RESPONSIBILITY OF THE GUILDMASTER AND THE ENTIRE TEAM TO ENSURE THAT THEIR CONNECTIONS, HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE ARE ALL WORKING.

Player Responsibilities
a. players must follow the rules interpretations and guidelines for play set forth by the Tournament Committee
b. Players are expected to in a respectful and sporting manner at all times.
c. Players who argue or fail to follow the instructions of the Tournament Director, head judge or other tournament officials are subject to the appropriate penalties as the case may be.
d. It is the RESPONSIBILITY OF THE GUILDMASTER AND THE ENTIRE TEAM TO ENSURE THAT THEIR CONNECTIONS, HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE ARE ALL WORKING.

NOTE: Level Up and/or officials of the Tournament Committee reserve the right to suspend or ban a player or guild without prior notice for any reason deemed necessary.
