Asus EEPC – Really Small

Mich recently got promoted and is currently being trained to become one of the newest reporters for ABS-CBN (Congrats!). I decided to buy her a gift to congratulate her on her recent success. I distinctly remember seeing a lot of journalists using the ASUS EEPC so… while we were in Greenhills last Sunday, we decided to get one right after the Victory service. The ASUS EEPC was priced at 16,900 which is actually very affordable. It probably won’t play too much games since the video card is not that powerful but the PC will give you all the necessary basic functions that you need for a working PC – internet browsing, office applications, media player, and file storage. Here are some pictures of the unit that we brought home last Sunday.

My wallet is 3/4′s the size! LOL!

Over-all I think the ASUS EEPC was a good buy for the low price. Most laptops these days are really quite expensive and ASUS did the right move by introducing a low-end model that is stylish and functional at the same time.

ok rin po sa games yan, Asus ee pc 4gig white skn… installed win xp nlite to sa ve space… ok po ung Ragnarok at Flyff smooth naman with resolution of 800*600 and 1024*768 (ndi po 3rd party program mabagal kc un) and overclocking with a fan speed of 100%

    Nice Item^^

  2. Prodinterios says:

Lol It is not really a Best buy it over heats a lot of times…
It nearly killed my charger but yeah Not all great things come cheap

  3. Dish says:

you should wait for the MSI wind. 40gig HD, 10″ lcd and still very light weight

  4. Artemis says:

@Prodinterios, ilang oras mo ginamit yang ASUS EEPC bago nag-overheat? Interesado din kasi akong bumili. Pero 10 hours ako kung gumamit ng pc. Ahehehe.

  5. Wauks says:

Wow! It can play FlyFF? Hehehe. I was expecting it to play RO, pero FlyFF? Ayush. :)

  6. Fred-ster says:

i’ve been interested in the EeePC for a long time. pero saan mo nakita yang 16,900???? ang daya sa megamall ang lowest e 18,000 for 4gig! waaaaaa….

pero ngayong bukas na Asus shop sa mega, maybe mas mababa price dun, tutal sa ibang shop kasi me profit na kelangan kaya mataas price.

ung mom ko interested din jan kasi the most basic applications lng naman gnagawa nya sa pc like browsing and office. but still the price is relatively high. pero if i had one, install-an ko agad ng linux unless linux can be pre-installed.

i think it can play RO because the game requires very low processor clock speed, less ram than other games, and even if ndi mamahaling nvidia or ati ang video card mo pwede sa ragna.

pero flyff???? might want to check it out. haha ^^

  7. Wauks says:

Linux was already pre-installed with the unit and it also came with a free 4GIG flash drive (Kingston). I bought it from an Automatic Center booth at the Theatre Mall. 0% interest for 6 months. Lol.

FYI: Elementor po ako Mobber kinakaya naman po ^^ Flyff and Ragnarok lng nakalagay sa SDHC

kaya po yan try and tested … lineage2 and Word of warcraft kaya rin. nakalagay yan sa 80gig transport…

wag lng po gumamit ng 3rd party program malag po kc un..
use only asus driver na down scale ko ung flyff ng 800*480 …buti kinaya kc sa configuration nya 800*600 lng ang pwede sa option
