Anime Review - Bleach 139: Ichigo Sucks Big Time
It’s friday… which means it’s time once again to do my weekly anime reviews! Bleach recently released episode 139 and it’s good to note that it’s not a filler. Last week the Arancar Espada finally went to earth and engaged the Shinigami group led my Captain Hitsugaya. Grimjaw bolted from the group and confronted Ichigo to settle their unfinished fight. In this episode we see three fights: Arancar Lupi versus Hitsugaya’s Group, Ichigo versus Grimjaw, and another battle which I’ll reveal after the jump.

The title of this post is “Ichigo Sucks Big Time”, and I’m going to kick this review off with telling you guys why. Ichigo faces off with Grimjaw and he does his hollow transformation. To his credit, he literally kicks Grimjaw’s ass. Ichigo is able to close-in and do Getsugas at melee range. His speed and strength also increased dramatically, giving him the edge against the former Espada. Grimjaw is literally tossed around but before Ichigo delivers the final blow, THE MASK BREAKS. You can pretty much guess what happens next. Grimjaw kicks his ass, hehe.
The second battle is between Arancar Espada Lupi versus Hitsugaya and his group. Lupi releases his Zanpaktou and he transforms into Doctor Octopus, with 8 additional vine-like things that he uses to beat the living hell out of Hitsugaya. The Shinigami captain falls and Lupi proceeds to take out the rest of the team. Fortunately for Minamori and the others, Urahara appears and saves them. It’s exciting to see Urahara finally take up arms again, and I’m sure that we’ll see him in more battles in the future! However, Urahara is blocked by the other Espada, preventing him from saving the other Shinigami.
The last encounter that we’ll see is between Innoue and Ulquiorra. It’s at this point that we see the diabolic (lol) plan of the Arancar. The other Espada attacked the friends of Innoue to force her to come with Ulquiorra, which we can only assume are under the orders of Aizen.
The episode ends at that point. All of the heroes are in dire peril and one can only imagine how they’ll get out of this predicament. Can’t wait for Bleach 139!

Weh, I haven’t the episode yet, so I didn’t really read the whole post. I’ll just be back if I;m through watching it later. :)

Im actually bored with the storyline of Bleach but their fight scenes are sure nifty and the way they manage to put the fillers into the main storyline is awesome.. But I would really like to see Byakuya back in action RAWR!!
OT: Just wanna share this although the video has been removed already but this somewhat news of the leading sub dubbers of Naruto & Bleach just release this statement.. Although wala akong pakialam but the last article “About the Philippines” is really hitting below the belt, hope others will also send feed backs to at least remove the last link.. http://www.dattebayo.com/pr/43

Ang inde k lang magets eh kasing lakas din pala ng mga captains ung mga espada. *Spoiler* k2lad ni hitsugaya natalo nya c lupi eh number 6 n un pano p kaya ung mga ibang captains n msmlkas kay hitsugaya. D hamak nman n masmlakas hollowed ichigo kesa s mga captains. Ung s manga kc nung nglaban c grimjow and hollowed ichigo eh match lang. Sa laban ni hitsuhaya and lupi(number 6) eh no match c lupi. Bat d n lang sugurin ng mga captains ung espada para matapos na lol. Nandun pa c tanda cguro kasing lakas din ni aizen un.

they cant go to hueco mundo easily else they get hollow corruption.
not to mention having a military force in hueco mundo will probably attract attention of the vasto lorde menos hollows.
10 of these nasty hollows can raze soul society to the ground

@valfogg. vasto lorde menos hollows? Are you talking about the espada? Coz what i know theyre the strongest among the hollows. If it is, one captain is equal match to one espada. Just like hitsugaya just defeated the number 6 lupi. As for Aizen match most probably would be ichigo, kisuke, or the old commander(I forgot the name). I dont think soul society should worry too much. Except if the hougyoku will be unleashed thats the different story. Thats why i didnt get this part of the story. If its the most important mission, why didnt the commander calls for all the captains to attacked aizen in hueco mundo. Oh well.. we’re just gonna have to leave it to the author.

vasto lorde menos are the one that are bigger and badder than the espada. their power is waaaaaay past anyone in soul society. this is the reason why aizen wants orihime so that he can make deals with the vasto lorde menos. the espada are not the strongest hollow, but they are the strongest arrancar.
about hollow corruption, it happens when you stay in hueco mundo for too long. however this doesnt seem to happen for aizen, jin and the blind guy for some reason and seems aizen has something that prevents that.

@valfogg check out this link. http://s10.invisionfree.com/Bleach_Soul_Touched/ar/t726.htm I think what you know about the vasto lorde menos are different from this one and what I believe is true. “A Vasto Lorde is as about as strong as a Gotei 13 captain and highly dangerous. These Menos are also the ones most sought after by Aizen to create arrancar, since they become the most human-looking arrancar and, of course, the strongest ones.” I believe the strongest among the vasto lorde menos would be the espada. Can you give me a link that tells otherwise? tnx

ang hina ni ichigo kkbasa ko lng manga chapter 290 ganun parin sya asa sa mask nya pg nwala talo na agad sya hehehe.. gs2 ko sana mkta ung malakas sya 2lad nung klaban nya c byakuya ska c zaraki hndi ung ngyn npka weak na nya nkkwalang gana mga laban nya.. mas astig pa cla kisuke.. ang inaabangan ko nlng ung tatay nya ano kya bankai nun hehe ska c kisuke.. ska sana pakita na ung released form ng zanpaktou ni zaraki un mgnda abangan..

@dempoy. ala naman zanpakotou c kenpachi un ung weakness nya. About s kahinaan ni ichigo, maganda nga ung ganun eh mas may thrill ung story msmalkas ung kalban kesa s bida. Eh kung bida sobrang lakas edi walang kwenta un end of story agad. Pero sympre, as usual, sya bida sya magiging pinkamalakas s huli.
