Carlo San Juan Ople, popularly known as “Wauks”, currently serves as the Marketing Manager for Level-up Games Incorporated, an e-PLDT company. The Brand and Community Managers of Ragnarok Online, Perfect World, Pangya, Khan, and Ragnarok Online 2 report to him. During his gamer days, he was known to be one of the most vocal critics of Level-up, and he has participated in numerous community discussions in order to make the game better. As a guild leader, he led the Shadow Circle in Chaos Server to glory in 3 RPC campaigns.
Initially, Wauks worked for e-PLDT’s gaming company, netGames, as the Senior Community Manager for Fly for Fun, Pangya, and Khan Online. He eventually took over Fly for Fun as the Brand Manager and together with Atma, brought the game to even greater heights. After e-PLDT acquired Level-up and merged the two companies, Wauks was assigned to handle the biggest game in the Philippines, Ragnarok Online. He was eventually tasked to handle Ragnarok Online 2 and eventually got promoted to Marketing Manager last November, 2007.
Having obtained an Atenean education and well-read in marketing management books, Wauks pours most of his time studying and perfecting Viral Marketing and New Media campaigns, which compliments traditional marketing efforts. He is currently in a relationship with his girlfriend of seven years, saving up for their future together.
