Celebrity Player Interview 05 - BC
Celebrity Player Interview 05 - Berserkerz Crit (BC)
Philippine Ragnarok Online Player
Apocalypse Guild
No other game can boast of a dedicated and competitive community of players. RO’s gameplay allows players to get really competitive especially with WoE and PvP whilst building real life friendships.
BerserKeRz CriT or BC for short is a popular Assassin Cross from Apocalypse. He is the author of a guide for Assassin Crosses and has participated in the 2005 and 2006 Ragnarok Philippine Championships. He is infamous for his sharp tongue in pRO Chaos forums and number of kills in PvP. He is currently taking up Political Science in a university in Manila and dreams to be of service to the Filipino people someday.
Wauks: Thanks for accepting my invitation for a chat BC. I know we’ve been at odds for the longest time but it’s good that we’re in talking terms now. Despite all the bad things that happened between us, can you name any positive trait that I have? Lol. XD
BC: When I first met you at 129 Square, I immediately noticed you were very amiable and friendly. You welcomed me right away and talked to me intently. Also, I admired your conviction in pleading for your brother to be spared of my tirades. It is a very Filipino trait, family first. And now, as Brand Manager of LU, you are one of the most visible and reachable contact of players. I like that since I feel the community has been neglected badly for quite sometime.
Wauks: Thanks for the kind words. Speaking of that incident, do you still feel betrayed by Armada when some of them sided with me during our confrontation at Lok Fu several years ago?
BC: No, we’ve long patched up our differences although I still stand by what I did then. I was just applying my journalistic instincts by demanding and exposing transparency and honesty from LU since I felt it was the community’s business to know that a famous player had a brother for a GM. I was taken aback during the discussion when you said that it was gigler who asked for the meeting. But I really felt betrayed by the person beside me who I knew personally having played with him closely in a shop near our places. Imagine the audacity of telling me that I was wrong and should apologize when before the meeting he didn’t give a clue as to what was on his mind regarding the issue. He was in no position to preach because I know where my morals and convictions lie.

Wauks: It’s actually weird these days because we actually go to the same office everyday (hehe). I’ve actually scheduled an interview with him. Anyway, let’s talk about the new BC! Have you changed it anyway since the last we met? Describe the difference between BC now from the BC three years ago?
BC: I’ve matured a lot in the three years I’ve played this game but I still carry within me my ideals and convictions during my rebellious years. I learned that some people will do anything to get ahead while a few will do anything to help somebody out. I still love to play games a lot (online or not) but I’m really focused now on school. I used to think I didn’t need it but now I know better.
Wauks: That’s great to hear man. We’ve all learned a great deal from playing RO. What is the best thing that you’ve learned from Ragnarok Online?
BC: That MMORPGs are addicting because they act as an escape from reality, and that even if it’s just a game, real people play it and invest real things. Plus the fact that RO politics make for a good case study as a microcosm of Philippine politics. Lol.
Wauks: When do you plan on coming out of retirement?
BC: This summer after my finals, but it still depends if I will find the game as exciting and fun as before. Most likely I will be helping out my friends during the RPC Season if there is still one.
Wauks: What makes RO standout from the rest of the games in the local market?
BC: Definitely the community and the game mechanics. No other game can boast of a dedicated and competitive community of players. RO’s gameplay allows players to get really competitive especially with WoE and PvP whilst building real life friendships.
Wauks: You mentioned before that you were really thinking of starting a career in politics. Will we see you in the local politics scene someday?
BC: Hopefully. With God willing, I want to change the status quo of Philippine politics by example. Honesty, transparency, and intelligent legislation or execution (of laws).
Wauks: You have a hard path ahead of you man. I wish you all the luck that a man can have. Do you have a message for all our readers?
BC: Stay in school, have fun, and enjoy life. Don’t do unto others what you don’t want others to do unto you. Hahaha.

BC is on of my favorite players in pRO.
I always see him around in midgard.
And I believe that he has been a great dedicated player no matter what.
Even though I havent watched him play in PVP. I heard from my friends and word of mouth that he was one of the best Assasins in pRO Chaos.
Hope to meet him one day.
I hope you do good with your studies and future man.
If ever maglaro ka ulit sana mag RO2 ka or PW.
Id like to see how you would become another legend in future MMORPG’s.
