2nd Philippine International Motor Show Pictures
The 2nd Philippine International Motor Show was held last week at the World Trade Center. The main theme was promoting cars with alternative energy sources, especially Hybrid Cars. I took a lot of photos of the cars that I found interesting like this Audi R8 which probably costs millions of pesos. I think this is the closest I will get to a car like this - hahaha! There are several pictures of other luxury cars as well - especially the new models of BMW. If there’s one thing common about the new cars, they’re all modern looking and kinda… pricey. ^^;

Check out selected pictures of the event after the jump.
Here are several pictures of the new BMW models:
BMW Z4 COUPE

BMW 120i

BMW X6 xDrive30d

Here’s something new from General Motors:
OPTRA CNG

General Motors also introduced a new version of the OPTRA using CNG as fuel. It’s supposedly safer than LPG but it also costs the same. I was able to get a quick video interview of the manager on standby and he was kind enough to answer all of my questions as well as show me the new tank which is fitted at the back of the OPTRA. Here’s the interview:
INTERVIEW OF GENERAL MOTORS MANAGER ON ALTERNATIVE FUEL CARS
I won’t bother posting about Honda because I already made a separate post for the new Jazz and I’m coming up with one more post about Toyota’s new limited edition VIOS. Cheers everyone!

Love the cars, but I don’t like the new car designs because they look futuristic. I like those box types like the 98 model BMW E36. New BMW models are just like those Mazda 3s that I see around the streets. I love the X6’s front bumper but I don’t like the back design.
