Emmerich Files 001 - Double Reflect Paladin
I apologize for any wrong grammar and discrepancies on my first article. Some email screwed all my .doc files (two of which were insane build articles) and I’m now typing on this primitive Windows notepad with my kitten scratching my speakers :( My first time to post also on a blog lol
Players have most of the time been following certain “norms” when it comes to character builds. Just like during the early days of pRO where hunters maxed out AGI and DEX, knights having insane amounts of agility and assassins having so much LUK. Trends have set a standard on how a character build should be, given certain conditions. This gives the player a sense of security when playing with their character; they know that the “standardized” build they have is effective because it has already proven itself in various modes of combat (PvP, WoE and PvM). Unconventional builds are a rare sight in pRO. Usually players make such unorthodox builds for events such as Boss Time Attacks and other big events. Such character builds give the player an unparalleled advantage over conventional builds. With such builds, players can greatly enhance their characters by also using certain equipment specialized for that certain character only…as what I my first insane character would be.
The first insane build that Wauks and I have thought of is an autocaster paladin. I believe there are a few paladins out there with this build, but I’m sure only a handful have thought of such. The paladin would specialize in wrecking havoc on precasts and mobs though the use of several cards that enable the player to cast spells. You may not be able to fully utilize this build due to the insane cards that it needs. But hey, it’s just a concept. :P
The stats (Naked character):
STR: 20+9
AGI: 84+8
VIT: 47+10
INT: 99+7
DEX: 1+8
LUK: 3+3
Cards to be used:
Dark Lord (MVP)
Wind Ghost
Stormy Knight (MVP)
Bloody Knight
Garm Baby
Baphomet (MVP)
Compulsory Equipment:
Valkyrie Manteau[1]
With the reflect skill and a Valkyrie manteau[1] equipped, you are effectively doubling the chance of any autocast. This is because the paladin’s reflect skill and Valkyrie manteau[1] do not stack. Instead, they reflect a single damage “twice”. Dark Lord shoes alone can cast several Meteor Storms in less than a second with a mob. Having a Baphomet Card compounded on your “spell casting” weapon would be very useful when mobbing for obvious reasons.
Significance in WoE
This build would surely turn the tides of any siege day. Just imagine a single paladin casting so much spells that any guild’s regular warrior would not stand a chance against 5 Meteor Storms, 3 Storm Gusts and 2 Jupitel Thunders.
Significance in PvP
Not much since you rarely get 8-10 people hitting you at any given time. Although maybe after making a lot of enemies because of your AoE spells, I think this build would be fun ;).
Significance in your adventures
You are in for a treat at Juperos Dungeon with this character. I personally level on that dungeon with my DL shoes and I go nuts when I see 15 meteors falling LOL.

April 25th, 2007 at 12:25 am
Medyo pangmayman ata tong build na to.

April 25th, 2007 at 12:28 am
Kaya I call it an “insane build”
April 25th, 2007 at 12:29 am
3 MVP Cards, kano kaya tong mga to sa Chaos Servers, kulang ata 1 Billion XD
Plus the Valkyrie Manteau[1] na napakahirap ihunt XD
April 25th, 2007 at 12:31 am
Pero imagine if you can pull it off.
April 25th, 2007 at 12:31 am
lol sarap gamitin sa Siege yan
April 25th, 2007 at 12:32 am
Nice article eli! Keep up the good work! :P
April 25th, 2007 at 12:33 am
I agree with Kuroro, not only are Valkyrie Manteaus[1] expensive in game, the time needed to invest for you to be able to achieve this build calls for numerous top-ups also.
This build would be very handy in case you need to summon an arsenal of spells in an instant.
Thanks for sharing, elissa.
April 25th, 2007 at 12:34 am
April 25th, 2007 at 12:38 am
kaso pagkakaiba lang poor ako and I can’t afford yung DL gear -_-
I think this build is too impractical for a commoner. My budget-friendly recommendation is
Weapon: Fireblend / Ice Falchion
Shield: High Orc for PVM or Racial Card
Armor: Pest
Accessory: Wind Ghost, Bongun, Violy
here is my Paladin in action:
http://jetlogs.org/wp-content/uploads/2007/04/screenchaos044.jpg
In WOE, pest and violy is a good combination in breaking precasts.
However, due to the recent updates on pRO, the autocast Paladin became quite impractial since the autocast chance was nerfed, thus limiting this build only for the rich with DL and SK cards
April 25th, 2007 at 12:40 am
yesh ahahaha wasak def nila
April 25th, 2007 at 12:47 am
April 25th, 2007 at 12:49 am
April 25th, 2007 at 12:53 am
ack, no comment lol
*edited a few words, may spell checker pala dito*
April 25th, 2007 at 1:01 am
Nice nice ^^
April 25th, 2007 at 2:21 am
April 25th, 2007 at 2:32 am
wow ha.. kaso LP lng katapat lols /gg
April 25th, 2007 at 2:37 am
Nice but there are melee precasters as well in kRO and jRO which I both play kRO/jRO have a item called ring of flame lord and Ring of Resonance and the chance of auto cast is quite high heres a demonstration of sniper using the combo
April 25th, 2007 at 3:49 am
i appreciate the build shared (and yeah i imagine the power if i was to use it
) but i hope there would also be builds for the not-so-rich people like me hehehehe. i for one, don’t have any boss cards and i don’t even have 150m zeny in my accounts.
April 25th, 2007 at 5:55 am
in pRO? you’ll hardly last a min in pre cast then you’ll be booted out because of time gap
April 25th, 2007 at 6:04 am
For that to work kailangan tanggalin ang Ecall.
April 25th, 2007 at 6:04 am

April 25th, 2007 at 7:06 am
Uy, nice to see another old name from Chaos (and sa SM and SC boards). ^^V
The build would be easy to build and funt o play with imho, parang nagtiyaga ka lang sa AB na chemist (that is is you dun use AB for leveling dahil mahal siya, pang WoE and PvP) like what others said yung Cards sa equipments yung nagpamahal sa kanya.
April 25th, 2007 at 7:29 am
awts
hahaha peace
April 25th, 2007 at 7:41 am
nice concept, pero i agree pang-mayaman nga talaga ung build
April 25th, 2007 at 8:30 am
me likey!
if only they sell those cards in hypermart. maski na thousands yan bibilin ko.
April 25th, 2007 at 8:44 am
@ Wauks
Why not make an event in-game called “Challenge Vanguard’s Build” or something similar. In this event guilds can battle this crazy builds during a selected castle during WOE. It’s very refreshing to see this builds in action and really see if this builds would really work.
April 25th, 2007 at 9:20 am
April 25th, 2007 at 9:35 am
pero generally it’s really cool, especially for a player who’s into travelling around Midgard a lot.
April 25th, 2007 at 10:07 am
aw imagine 2 paladins doing that to a pre cast defence… uber lag and damage hehe panu kaya kung nag gc pa ung paladin
April 25th, 2007 at 10:09 am
sir wauk ..
anong magandang build pvp/woe sniper? ..
tips nmn po ..
April 25th, 2007 at 10:16 am
What’s the LUK for?
April 25th, 2007 at 10:36 am
^Sobrang Stat po ata yun.
No Dex?
April 25th, 2007 at 10:54 am
sobra nga yata ung stat nun kaya may luk and no dex parang ang hirap ipalvl nyan is humanly posible pero i get the rest of the stats…
April 25th, 2007 at 11:10 am
I think You also need Pheeoni for this build
Q:will pre-cast activate even when they hit you ?
and why 3luck instead of 2 dex and 2 luck ?

April 25th, 2007 at 11:10 am
April 25th, 2007 at 11:20 am
108 hit rate without any dex/Hit adding equips 98 hit rate with bapho XD
April 25th, 2007 at 11:23 am
@pong
That’s a great idea.
April 25th, 2007 at 11:56 am
lol, sige I’ll think of something less insane for next week
April 25th, 2007 at 12:45 pm
parang tanke na may magic … mahirap patumbahin

April 25th, 2007 at 12:49 pm
A dream build, true, but it looks like a GC Paladin build minus the Dex and plus the agi to me. The more or less low vit could do wonders with reflect damage.
I’ve been planning a “Reflecter” Paladin build myself, making use of reflect cards and equipment. Orc Lord for armor, Valkyrie Manteau for garment, and for the shield either High Orc (reflect 5% damage) or an Alice Card (lets you take 50% less damage from MVP monsters, but take I think 40% more from non-MVP monsters - including players!) Even magic reflect cards are a possible choice for equipment.
The aim of the build is to have melee physical attackers take as much reflect damage from you as possible. It might even be advisable to use equipment with no upgrades and as low def as possible for maximuhm reflect damage. Agi will be high for aspd and flee, just to increase your attack speed. Defender and gator clips are a must to lessen ranged damage as these are not reflected. Int should also be high to make use of a fireblend and ice falchion for offense and the mdef you’re gonna need for spells you can’t reflect. It could even be a hybrid GC build. I’m still working on a possible and workable reflecter build. I think the full valkyrie set could do quite well with this build.
But overall, nice build Elissa! I remember a SC member make a female int-type spear knight before to make use of the Zephyrus she had. She ended up deleting it though… Was that you?
Looking forward to more of your builds!
April 25th, 2007 at 1:13 pm
High Agi
good aspd
but always miss
April 25th, 2007 at 1:21 pm
April 25th, 2007 at 1:32 pm
nandyan naman gtb eh…
or isang guild na nakahubad lahat equip pero lahat naka-Kaite
April 25th, 2007 at 2:36 pm
ganda ng build na to.
i think only vanguards can afford this build and the set of cards and armors.
April 25th, 2007 at 3:37 pm
April 25th, 2007 at 5:45 pm
April 25th, 2007 at 7:39 pm
April 25th, 2007 at 7:55 pm
@Du
That would be uh Nethermir I think. From Saints. He was the first 99 character in pRO History, followed shortly by Nethermir.
@Everyone
Elissa will be posting every Tuesday. She’ll be posting a more user-friendly build next week (hindi insane equipment).
Again, thanks Elissa for sharing your builds! Hope to see more articles soon. Btw guys, I’m thinking of getting one more contributing writter but I want him/her to focus more on interviewing Ragnarok personalities. Anyway, more on that some other time.
April 25th, 2007 at 8:40 pm
My post was deleted and ignored.
April 27th, 2007 at 12:32 am
i was just wondering if you can think of an insane STAT build for a stalker or a dagger type sinx both (WOE type) thanks!

April 27th, 2007 at 12:33 am
Regarding the insane built yeah it’s possible in all servers except in
Thor unless some players decided to collect the MVP cards for such
purpose.
Episode 11.1 is coming. And SinX class would get stronger once more
with the coming of infiltrator[1] and icepick[1].
I am interested to see what kind of built of SinX built of yours Ms. Eli
^_^ for War Of Emperium and also for PVP.
Add also the equipments too regarding your built of SinX ^_^.
Hope Godly Equips are not included ^_^.
April 28th, 2007 at 12:29 am
[...] I read this article about an Autocast Paladin[waukster.com] build. I thought that it was too impractical for commoners, since that build required [...]
April 28th, 2007 at 1:55 pm
hahaha… d naman insane yan eh…
already did the DL / DI cards… tapos punk card…
also it works with devotion…the more devotees…
more chances of spamming… haha… yet ibang iba ung stats mo sa akin.
April 28th, 2007 at 11:44 pm
April 29th, 2007 at 4:35 pm
Correction Mr. Waukeen, I thik you are referring to Neverwinter being the 1st level 99 Wizard. I remember that guy spamming Quag and Fire Wall on GH. Agi wiz FTW right Jetlogs?
May 2nd, 2007 at 1:52 am
Imagine placing this build in Thor.. You will be killing players in WOE in no time!
May 2nd, 2007 at 4:46 am
Instead of Bapho dapat pala Phreeoni
Just a concept build anyway
Just posted another build, snipers naman. No MVP cards needed!
May 4th, 2007 at 12:45 pm
I am wondering how Wind Ghost, Stormy Knight (MVP), Bloody Knight, Garm Baby, and Baphomet (MVP) affect Reflect Damage on this build
As far as I can see those cards require the user to be attacking correct? so how can reflecting the damage affect them?
May 9th, 2007 at 12:23 pm
Reflected damage thru the Valkyrie Manteau and Reflect Shield are considered as neutral property attacks.
May 18th, 2007 at 1:53 am
alam ko tawag d2…
boga build (bano build)
ung wiz nga na naka bragis inde makapatay
un pa kyang pachance chance lng cast
May 20th, 2007 at 5:58 am
Tested this build already. Really only good for WoE, so if you want to boost your guild’s effectiveness and have some cash lying around, try this out and fck your enemies up. You could also go wit maya shield and orc lord armor, since reflect shield and orc lord stack, and when you reflect it gives back a lot of damage cuz of your low vit.
May 20th, 2007 at 10:40 pm

May 28th, 2007 at 8:33 am
May 31st, 2007 at 2:04 pm
@maInmAN
huh? panung lalambot? eh double reflect nga? lol ;p
@baluga
uy.. harsh.. tsk tsk tsk.. wag ganun.. nweiz.. natest mo na ba toh? see first before u judge.. ^^
June 6th, 2007 at 8:08 pm
weee, nice paladin build
kaso magastos ata to..
nga pala, para san SK card?
June 14th, 2007 at 2:19 pm
Ahm. There is a certain build that will make paladin super strong against any characters (except Professor-i really hate there skills).
Considering the economy of pRO today.
Champ vs. Paladin 90% chance of winning
Sin X vs. Paladin 92% chance of winning.
WS vs. Paladin 88% chance of winning.
Stalker vs. Paladin 98% chance of winning.
Sniper vs. Paladin 100% chance of winning.
Creator vs. Paladin 88% chance of winning
High Priest vs. Paladin 60% chance of winning.
Paladin vs. Paladin.
Gunslinger/Wizard/Gypsy/Clown vs Paladin 100% chance of winning.
Hahaha! Wanna guess?

June 14th, 2007 at 9:28 pm
I wanna see the paladin build that has a 100% chance of winning against a sniper o.O if ever meron nian, pakita mo po sakin. interesting
July 24th, 2007 at 7:27 pm
haha nice one Elissa ;)
Has anyone tried the Spear/Sacrifice Paladin yet >:)
July 31st, 2007 at 11:14 am
Wauks. Neverwinter ung 1st 99 wiz, Nethermir ung knight. Hehehe.
March 23rd, 2008 at 1:40 pm
katangahang build yan!! hahah kung ako jan mg tao gunka nlng ako sacrifice type!!!
